John Stott says he finds it helpful to think over the claims of Jesus under three headings (are you surprised it is not four?):
- Fulfilment - of OT promises
- Authority - in teaching, over death, demons and illness, to forgive sins etc
- Intimacy - with God the father (e.g. Matthew 11:27)
